The 61st annual Jesse James Chuckwagon Days in Adair takes place through Saturday.
The festival will end with a Saturday night performance by country music star Brad Morgan at the Adair Fire Station.
The nationally-touring Morgan tells Raccoon Valley Radio how his musical roots formed in west central Iowa. “I grew up in Manning, Iowa, over in Carroll County. From a young age, music was an interest of mine, I did choir and band in school. I started playing guitar, then pretty soon I got more and more offers, and that’s where I am today. One offer turns to another, you get a few good opportunities and then you’re making a living off of it.”
Morgan will tell us more about his act today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
