A group of young girls in Adel will be able to see the fruits of their labor this weekend when the new dog park opens to the public.
A commemorative grand opening takes place Sunday at the park, which is located north of the Aquatic Center at 1800 South 15th Street.
Kylie Schafer, Piper Giles, Rebecca Yanacheak and Rachel Helm of Troop 505 fundraised for the park this spring as their bronze award project.
Everyone is welcome to attend the celebration.
