The Perry Community School District is asking residents to get out and vote to approve a renewal of their Physical Plant and Equipment Levy next month.
Superintendent Lynn Ubben says it’s important for people to know this will not cost them additional money.
“It is not a new tax or a new levy, it is it is a continuation. We have a Physical Plant and Equipment Levy that goes for 10 years, so it’s up for renewal.”
The funds will provide between $3 and $4 million over a decade. Monies have been used for the purchase of school buses, roof repairs, bleachers, band instruments and computers to name a few.
The election takes place Tuesday, December 6th. Ballots can be cast at the McCreary Community Building from 7am until 8pm.
