An important event is happening tomorrow for Greene County 4-H and FFA’ers.

Greene County Extension Director Lori Mannel says the 4-H and FFA market beef weigh-ins for next year’s county and state fairs are happening this Sunday at 1pm at the fairgrounds in Jefferson.

“You must have all market beef weigh-in information in our 4-H online system by February 1 and with that you’re going to need to know how much do your beef weigh. This is for a beef project in order to be involved in FFA and in 4-H.”

Mannel adds that any 4-H or FFA’er wanting to show market beef at next year’s fairs must attend at least one beef meeting.
