The first ever soccer matches for the Greene County Rams are in Grand Junction tomorrow vs. the Humboldt Wildcats in non-conference action. The girls play at 4:30 p.m. with the boys to follow. Both matches will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.

Several of the Greene County girls and one boy played high school soccer last season for Boone under an athletic sharing agreement, but this is the first time the Rams have had their own varsity teams. Marilyn Tasler is the girls’ head coach and Carl Behne is in charge of the boys’ program. Both coaches feel they will be competitive for the most part in this first season.

The Humboldt girls were 4-11 in 2017 and the Wildcats had a record of 8-9 on the boys’ side.
