ADM Tigers

Only a handful of high school keepers in Iowa have played more minutes between the goal posts without allowing a score than Adel-Desoto-Minburn senior TJ Klocke. The #11 ADM boys soccer team currently sits 2-0 on the young season and have outscored their pair of opponents by seven goals. The Tigers preseason gameplan of better ball control has helped limit the number of chances the opposing teams have had to score against Klocke. In fact, the first shot on goal against him this spring didn’t come until last Thursday in ADM’s 1-0 victory at Knoxville. Klocke, who registered 22 saves in nine varsity games last year as a junior, collected five saves in the shutout against the Panthers. Five high school keepers across Iowa have registered more minutes in goal without allowing a score than Klocke. West Liberty junior Eliseo Tapia highlights the group, posting five straight shutouts to begin the 2018 season, totaling 380 minutes of shutout ball. The competition will kick up a notch tomorrow when Gilbert comes to ADM stadium for an undefeated clash of Tigers. Gilberts won all four of their matches this spring, outscoring their opponents, 12-3.
