Carlisle defeated Perry 7-3 in Raccoon River Conference action Monday night in Carlisle. The Wildcats jumped on Perry early with single tallies in both the second and third innings. Wes Durham blased a two run homerun in the fourth inning to extend the Carlisle lead after Perry had pushed across two runs of their own. The Cats put the game away with another two-run shot in the 6th.
Keeghan West took the loss for Perry throwing 3 2/3 innings, allowing 8 hits and 1 walk to go along with 3 strikeouts.
Gavin Boyer led Perry at the plate with a single and double. Brandon Kenyon and Aaron Lockwood provided RBI’s for the Jays. Perry falls to 2-2 in RRC play and will host Bondurant Farrar Wednesday night.
