In its first three games of the season, the Greene County High School baseball team scored a total of three runs. They’ve put 11 on the board in the last two, including season highs in runs (8) and hits (12) vs. Nevada, an 8-7 road loss to the Cubs last Friday night.

Head coach John Hupp talks about some of the adjustments. “We used a different approach in batting practice to get them from over swinging and sometimes being a little too aggressive and not staying smooth with their swing. That was creating some problems, so we changed some things in batting practice to get them to stay smoother throughout, and hopefully, that keeps translating onto the field. It definitely worked the first time we did it with a season high 12 hits at Nevada.”

The Rams next play on Thursday when they non Carroll High at Allensworth Field in non-conference play at 7:30 p.m. The game can be heard on KG98 and it will be streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
