Guthrie SheriffThe Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of those injured in the single-vehicle rollover crash near Jamaica late Saturday evening.

According to the report, 18-year-old Brock Kreft of Sac City was driving a Ford F150 truck just after 11pm when it rolled over in the south ditch as he was traveling east on Highway 141. Kreft was taken by Dallas County Emergency Medical Services to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines for minor injuries and was cited for failure to maintain control and reckless driving. According to the report, Kreft told a deputy that he was not wearing a seatbelt and had injured his right shoulder. Kreft showed no signs of impairment.

The passenger was a 15-year-old girl from Churdan. She was transported by Panora EMS to Greene County Medical Center for a minor head injury.  The truck sustained about $10,000 in damages, with another $500 in damage to a soybean field owned by Michael Lewis. The Sheriff’s Office believed that speed was likely the main factor that led to the rollover.
