Another long winning streak has helped propel the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers softball team into the top 10 of the latest Class 4A rankings compiled by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union late Friday evening. Thanks in part to seven straight wins since their initial ranking on May 31, ADM jumped six spots from the No. 10 to No. 4 in the newest set of rankings. One of ADM’s seven wins came against then No. 1 Winterset, who fell to No. 5 this week after suffering five losses since the May 31 rankings. ADM topped Winterset, 5-2, last Monday in Madison County. The ADM Tigers went 3-1 in this weekend’s ADM Softball tournament in Adel, pushing their overall record to 17-2. The No. 4 ADM softball team resumes their season tonight at home against the Ballard Bombers. First pitch of the varsity game is 7:30 p.m. from Adel.
