The Greene County High School baseball team fell to 0-4 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play on Friday night with a 5-3 loss to PCM in Prairie City. Coach John Hupp’s Rams have been competitive in the HOIAC, but so far have not been able to secure a victory. Overall, Greene County is 2-5.

The Rams will have another chance at league win number one tonight, weather permitting. Greene County is scheduled to host South Hamilton (Jewell) at Allensworth Field. The game can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. The Hawks are 1-4 in conference play and 3-6 overall.

The other HOIAC games on the schedule for this week for the Rams include Saydel (Des Moines) in Jefferson on Wednesday night, and a trip to Gilbert on Friday. In between is a Thursday night home contest with non-conference opponent Bondurant-Farrar, then Saturday it’s back to Des Moines for the Saydel tournament with the host Eagles, Van Meter, and Clarke (Osceola).
