With a break from all of the rain slated for Saturday, the National Weather Service is anticipating more rainfall to start Sunday.

The National Weather Service estimates 1 to 1.5-inches of rainfall for Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties from Sunday through Tuesday. The National Weather Service reports that Perry has seen 3.1-inches of rainfall this week, while Guthrie Center has seen 1.51-inches of rainfall this week. There was no information available for Jefferson.

A river flood warning continues to be in effect for Greene and Dallas counties through Tuesday morning. According to the US Army Corp of Engineers River Gages website, Buttrick Creek near Grand Junction, the North Raccoon River near Perry and the Middle Raccoon River near Bayard are all above flood stage.

The Iowa Department of Transportation has closed down a portion of Highway 169 due to flooding. The affected area is between Highway 6, just north of Adel and Highway 44. A temporary detour is in place.
