Severe Weather 6_24Heavy rainfall and some hail were the result of a round of severe thunderstorms Sunday afternoon.

The National Weather Service issued three severe thunderstorm warnings. The first one was issued just after 3pm for central Guthrie County and southwestern Dallas County, and it expired at 3:30. The second warning was issued at 3:19pm for southwestern Greene County and northwestern Guthrie County and lasted until 4pm. The final warning was issued at 4:24pm for northwestern Greene County until 5:05.

Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Kempf confirmed quarter-sized hail about five-miles southwest of Bayard. The other threat was heavy rainfall in our listening area. There was no immediate reports of damage from any of our areas.
