Here’s a reminder that the second of three fundraisers this summer for the Alzheimer’s Association will be at The Lakeside Village next Friday. There will be an ice cream social at the senior residential community from 1-4pm. Sundaes and cones with all the toppings are $2 each and there will be children’s carnival games available for $1. There will also be free demonstrations by All Ability Cycles.

Manager Amanda Creen talks about the how she got acquainted with the Jefferson cycling company, specializing in handicapped accessible units. “When I was working on the Minnesota border, they came all the way from Jefferson up to do demos for us there. So I already have this connection with them. So when I called John and asked if he’d be willing to do our event, he was all for it.”

All proceeds will go to support The Lakeside Village team in their effort to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association during the Walk to End Alzheimer’s next month in Des Moines.
