perry library

Coming up in July, the Perry Public Library will be hosting two book club meetings, both of which are open to new and old members alike.

First, this coming Tuesday the Quarterly Classics Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. at the Carnegie Library Museum. This quarter’s selected title is “The Fountainhead” by Ayn Rand. A week later on July 17th, the Monthly Perry Book Club will meet at 1 p.m. in the Clarion Room at City Hall. Their featured book for the month is “The Underground Railroad” by Colson Whitehead. Both books can be checked out at the library for potential attendees to read ahead of the meetings.

There is no cost or pre-registration required, and Library Director Mary Murphy says attendees of all ages are welcome, as long as they have a love of reading and desire to discuss books. For more information about either book club, stop into the library or call 515-465-3569.
