GCC-Spring/SummerThe Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

County Engineer Josh Sebern updated the Board on ongoing projects. He said that in general projects are delayed, in part due to the weather. In particular, Sebern estimates the Adair Road project will be completed by the end of August.

As far as future projects, he says plans on the Monteith Road restoration project are almost complete, and the bridge replacement project near Coon Rapids will cost about $1 million. Sebern believes it should be below that estimate, but he says the rise in steel prices and the river system beneath the bridge are keeping the price high.

Other action items approved include: a tax sale for a property in Yale, two fireworks permits, the plan document and summary plan description for the Guthrie County Major Medical Plan, and salary and wage changes for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. The meeting concluded with discussion on possible increases to trustee stipends, though no formal action was taken.
