The postseason run for both the West Central Valley Wildcats and Panorama Panthers baseball teams came to an end Tuesday night. The Wildcats traveled to Carroll’s Merchant Field for a Class 2A District 16 semifinal contest against the Kuemper Catholic Knights. West Central Valley head baseball coach Justin Keck tells Raccoon Valley Radio the Wildcats saw their season end in Carroll, 10-3. Keck said the squad fell behind 10-0 in the fifth but plated two runs in the fifth to extend the game into the sixth and seventh. The loss ends West Central Valley’s season at 12-15. In the Class 2A District 14 bracket, the Van Meter Bulldogs shut the door on Panorama’s season, winning 10-5. The loss ends the Panthers’ season at 7-16.
