The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers high school football team returns four assistant off last year’s 1-8 campaign. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network is spending the next several days highlighting members of the ADM football coaching staff and today’s focus is on Tiger second-year defensive coordinator Chris Rupe. Rupe graduated from Ottumwa Community Schools and played 45 career college football at Saint Cloud State University. He also spent some time as a graduate assistant for the Huskies football program upon finishing his undergraduate degree. ADM first-year head football coach Garrison Carter has been impressed so far at Rupe’s dedication to the program. “(You) can’t find a more bought in, more organized guy,” Carter said, “He’s been in the school every day, all summer despite the fact that his wife has their second baby coming within a week or two here and they’re in the process of moving house. He amazes me every day with how he can balance his schedule and how bought into the process he is.”

Rupe’s previous coaching experience also included a stint as an assistant coach at Waukee High School. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will continue it’s ADM football assistant coaching spotlight tomorrow with the Tigers only alumni on staff in Adam Crannell.
