Jefferson Matters: Main Street’s Tower View Team attended an Iowa Arts Summit on Friday and came away with an award.

The committee was honored with the Governor’s Art Award from the Iowa Arts Council. JMMS Program Director Peg Raney says they are very deserving of the award. “Our Tower View Team is getting to be known all over the state of Iowa, with all of the projects. With the art projects that they have with the rooftop art, the (Play Me Pleez) Piano, the (Ring Out for Art) sculptures, Sally’s Alley, all of these different things.”

The ceremony and summit took place in Des Moines Friday afternoon.
