Preseason practice continues across Iowa today, but two weeks from now high school football teams will gear up for the first game of the 2018 season. The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers will hit the field in Bondurant that night, and the game signifies the beginning of Garrison Carter’s coaching tenure at ADM. Carter recently spoke to the Raccoon Valley Radio Network about the importance of seniors in a coach’s first year. He stated the work this year’s senior group puts in will have a ripple effect throughout the program. “Five years from now the way that this program looks will literally be based on what this senior group buys in,” Carter said, “We actually just got done talking with our senior leadership group about that the other night. They’re in such a unique position that their whole class is going to be remembered here. There the ones that lay the foundation and are the ones that say this has to change.”

Carter and the ADM Tigers varsity football team is looking to build on a 1-8 record last season. The Tigers open the newest campaign Friday, August 24 on the road against the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays.
