The start of the high school football season is exactly two weeks away and the Perry football team is getting ready to make the transition to all pads in practice starting tomorrow. Perry has been practicing at 5:00 every day this week with helmets but will make the move to all pads starting tomorrow.
“The state regulates when you can go pads and when you can go just shoulder pads and helmets. Tomorrow is our first day of full pads and I’m anxious to see what that looks like,” stated first year head coach Matt Hardy.
Hardy told Raccoon Valley Radio Sports that he will continue to hold evening practices for roughly three hours before moving to after school practice once school starts.
