Greene County ExtensionGreene County Extension is offering a program to help save time, money and resources for those who have busy schedules, but not a lot of time to prepare meals.

The “Creative Meals On The GO!” is a program that will engage participants on ways to make meals ahead of time to eat in the field or at school, tailgating, at parties or other situations where time is a factor. ISU Extension Nutrition Specialist and Registered Dietitian Ann Heuer will lead the class. Extension Director Lori Mannel explains what else will be included in the program.

“And there maybe some ingredients that you don’t even know how to pronounce, let alone you’ve even tried. Ann’s going to introduce you to some new ingredients, make your meals tasty and easy to do (and use) some ingredients that maybe you don’t use.”

The class will be held at the Extension office in Jefferson on Thursday, September 27th from 5:30 to 7pm. There is a $10 fee and space is limited. Call 386-2138 or stop by the Extension office to sign up by September 24th.
