Saturday was an eventful day of competition for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity volleyball team. The Tigers played in five total matches at the annual Pella Volleyball Invitational. ADM returned to Dallas County with a pair of victories. The Tigers registered three-set victories over Knoxville (21-17, 16-21, 15-11) and Boone (21-16, 12-21, 15-6). ADM’s suffered a straight-set loss to Bondurant-Farrar (14-21, 11-21) and three-game setbacks to Pella (9-21, 21-16, 12-15) and Mediapolis (15-21, 21-16, 11-15). Junior Josi Lonneman led the way with 43 kills. Junior Delaney Bertman dished out 30 assists. Senior Briann Powers topped ADM with 20 digs defensively. The results push ADM’s overall record to 11-16. The Tigers close their Raccoon River Conference season tomorrow night in a home match versus the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays.
