vote_earlyWith less than one month to go before the November 6th general election, everyone can now vote by absentee.

Anyone living in Greene County can vote at the Greene County Auditor’s office from now through November 5th. Before you can vote by absentee, a request for a ballot must be filled out. Copies of the request form are available at the Auditor’s office or on the Iowa Secretary of State’s website. The last day the Auditor’s office can mail an absentee ballot is October 26th, and all absentee ballots being mailed back to the Auditor’s office must be postmarked by November 5th.

The Greene County Auditor’s office will also be open special hours before the November 6th election date. They will be open Saturday, October 27th and Saturday, November 3rd both from 8am to 5pm. The regular daily hours of the Auditor’s office is 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Call the Auditor’s office at 386-5680 with any questions.
