The regular season slate ended on a positive note Tuesday evening for the West Central Valley Wildcats varsity volleyball team. The Wildcats finished their West Central Activites Conference schedule on the road against league newcomer Pleasantville. West Central Valley bested Pleasantville in four games, winning (21-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-19). Three Wildcats had eight or more kills in the win led by junior Jenna Merical with 13. Senior Sadie Schneller added nine kills, while sophomore Hailee Scott contributed eight. Seniors Haley Nizzi and Maddie Waddle led the Wildcats defensively with 31 and 27 digs respectively. The win secures West Central Valley as the ninth best team in the West Central Activities Conference standings with a 2-8 league mark. The win improves the Wildcats overall record to 7-12. West Central Valley is idle until the start of the postseason tournament Tuesday, October 16 when the Wildcats will travel to Avoca to face AHSTW.
