A fire at The Port restaurant brought firefighters to Lake Panorama Sunday afternoon.

The Panora and Guthrie Center fire departments were called to the scene at around 4:30 p.m. Firefighters worked on the roof of the restaurant to extinguish the flames. According to the Panora Fire Department, the restaurant was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and the fire was contained to the kitchen with smoke and water damage to the building. The cause of the fire has not been determined. Panora Emergency Medical Services, Panora Police Department, and the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
