According to the Iowa State Patrol, 93-year-old Fred Stephen Molle of Jefferson was driving a Ford Fusion south on Victory Avenue at the intersection of Highway 141 at approximately 2 p.m. Thirty-eight-year-old John Steven Jordan of Johnston was driving a Chevy Tahoe west on 141 approximately two car lengths behind another vehicle. The vehicle Jordan was following turned north onto Victory Avenue. Molle stated he did not see Jordan’s vehicle and pulled out into the path of Jordan. The two vehicles collided and both came to rest on Victory Avenue south of 141. One passenger was transported by Panora EMS to the Greene County Medical Center for minor injuries. Molle was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Guthrie County Sheriff’s deputies, and Yale, Jamaica, and Bagley Fire Departments also assisted at the scene.
