The owner of the winning Powerball ticket sold in Redfield has come forward.
Lerynne West of Redfield was announced at a press conference Monday as the winner of Iowa’s largest Powerball lottery, claiming the $198.1 million lump sum of the $343.9 million prize. At the press conference West says she first plans on using the winnings to purchase a new car. She will also be putting a portion of it in her newly established Callum Foundation in honor of her deceased grandson. Casey’s General Store will also receive a $10,000 bonus from the Iowa Lottery for selling the winning ticket at one of its stores.
