Greene County High School officially begins the basketball season tomorrow by hosting Ogden in the middle school gym in Jefferson for a girl/boy doubleheader. Before then, there’s one more piece of business to take care of for the Rams’ football team. It’s the annual awards ceremony later today. Head coach Mitch Moore and his assistant coaches will be handing out letters, all-district, all-state, and other awards.

Coach Moore talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the event. “This was such a special season we decided to hold it at 209 Main with a taco bar. It’s going to give us a chance to honor those seniors who led us in turning the program around from 1-8 last season to a District Co-Championship this year, an 8-1 regular season, a Class 2A playoff berth, and 8-2 overall. We’ll also honor all of our guys, and they all did a tremendous job. It’s a chance to honor them in front of parents and certain community members, and to celebrate the success.”
