A slow offensive start dug the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys basketball team too big of a hole in their season opener Tuesday night in Pella. The Pella Christian Eagles played host ADM in their annual nonconference opener. Pella Christian used an 18-5 run in the second quarter to open up a 19 point halftime lead, ultimately winning the contest, 59-50. The Tigers trailed 38-19 at halftime before outscoring Pella Christian, 31-21 in the second half. Senior Koby Hardcastle topped ADM with 14 points and five rebounds in the setback. The loss drops ADM to 0-1 on the young season. The Tigers start their Raccoon River Conference season in Adel Friday night against the Ballard Bombers.
