West Central Valley Wildcat

The start of the West Central Activities Conference dual season began at home Tuesday night for the West Central Valley Wildcats. The Wildcats celebrated Senior Night against league foes the Panorama Panthers and the Van Meter/Earlham consolidated program. West Central Valley scored two wins by pinfall, a major decision, a technical fall, and three forefit to edge the Panorama Panthers, 39-33. The Wildcats obtained points on one pinfall, one technical fall, one decision, and one forfeit against Van Meter/Earlham in a 49-20 setback. Senior Carson Wadle closed his home wrestling career with a pair of wins. He registered a first-period pinfall wrestling at 195 pounds against Panorama’s James Hein (1:02). Wadle recorded a 20-4 technical fall victory at 182 pounds over Van Meter/Earlham’s Trey Bond in the third period. The Wildcats varsity wrestling team resumes their competition season Saturday, sending a condensed squad down to Lenox Invitational.
