A pair of nonconference opponents awaits the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity wrestling team tonight. The Tigers resume their early season dual schedule in Gilbert, competing in a triangular against the Tigers and the Greene County Rams. ADM enters tonight’s event undefeated in two duals this winter, defeating the North Polk Comets (40-39) and the Ballard Bombers (48-33) last Thursday in Huxley. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network recently spoke with ADM varsity wrestling coach Chris Hatchitt, and he shared his thoughts on tonight’s nonconference meeting versus Gilbert and Greene County. “I was looking at their results and seeing how they fared (last Thursday) and I think we’ll match up well,” Hatchitt said, “It’s something, like (last Thursday), that we’ll have to earn any success. Nothing will be given to us.”

Tonight’s matches will feature three ranked wrestlers all from ADM Community Schools. The Predicament has listed senior Andrew Flora as Class 2A’s No. 1 ranked grappler at 126 pounds, senior Nolan Harsh rated No. 6 at 182, and junior Kaden Sutton placed No. 6 at 220 pounds. Tonight’s triangular between ADM, Gilbert, and Greene County commences at 6 p.m. at Gilbert High School.
