The Greene County School Board will meet twice tonight.

The Board will hold a work session at 5:15pm. The topic will be on sportsmanship and the discussion will be led by Iowa High School Athletic Association Assistant Director Todd Tharp. The Board will not take any action during the work session.

The regular board meeting will then begin at 6:30pm. The meeting will start with a public hearing on an amendment for the 2019 fiscal year budget. Following the hearing, the Board will consider approving the amendment. Under old business, the Board will consider for approval the voluntary early retirement applications along with the demolition bid for the Grand Junction school building.

The Board will then consider for approval an early graduation request, several fundraiser and School Budget Review Committee requests, modified supplemental amounts for at-risk and dropout prevention programs, board policy reviews and the administrative costs for Grandwood and Woodward Academy Dayschool. Additionally, the Board will discuss school permits, naming rights on buildings, the academic and athletic sharing agreement with Paton-Churdan and the 2019 soccer program.

Both meetings will take place in the conference room of the administrative building in Jefferson.
