Tuesday marked the final game of the current calendar year for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls basketball team. The squad used the rest of the week building comradery with multiple team activities. ADM girls basketball coach Jacob Cleveland shared with Raccoon Valley Radio after a 57-52 win against the Carroll Tigers Tuesday that they were using Wednesday’s allotted practice time to host a holiday party featuring multiple kids in the community. “We had the girls choose someone in the community to be their little sister,” Cleveland said, “They’re going to come in an decorate what I’ll call them holiday cookies.”

The holiday party also featured multiple games and prizes provided by ADM assistant girls basketball coach Steve Cochran. On Thursday, several girls basketball players were on hand to see the ADM boys basketball team take down the North Polk Comets, 63-45. Then last night, the ADM girls basketball team watched the Iowa and Drake Women’s basketball teams play at the Knapp Center in Des Moines. The ADM girls basketball team will resume their season next year with an 8-2 overall record and a perfect 5-0 mark in the Raccoon River Conference.
