After leading the Grand View Women’s Soccer team in scoring, 2017 Adel-Desoto-Minburn graduate Sydney Bertman gained regional postseason award recognition recently. The United Soccer Coaches named Bertman to the 2018 NAIA All-Midwest Region Second-Team. Bertman, who previously committed to Grand View as a member of the women’s basketball team, became a dual sports athlete this fall by joining the Lady Vikings soccer squad. Bertman started all 18 of Grand VIew’s matches in 2018, scoring eight goals and two assists on the pitch this fall. The Grand View University Women’s Soccer team closed their recent campaign with a record of 7-10-1.
