Don’t forget, with Tuesday being New Year’s Day, several offices around Dallas County will be closed in observance of the holiday.

In Perry, all City offices and the Water Works Department will be open New Year’s Eve, but closed on New Year’s Day. Similarly, the Perry Public Library will be open on December 31st from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and will be closed January 1st. Meanwhile, the McCreary Community Building will be closed both Monday and Tuesday. Also, garbage routes scheduled for Monday will be picked up as normal, but Tuesday’s routes will be delayed until Wednesday.

For Adel, all City offices and the public library will be closed on New Year’s Eve and Day, and all garbage routes are delayed by one day. Finally, all Dallas County offices will be open December 31st and closed January 1st, including the courthouse, Department of Motor Vehicles, and driver’s license station. All city and County offices will be open for normal business on Wednesday. As another reminder, classes for the Perry and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn school districts will resume on Thursday, January 3rd.
