The 42nd annual Bike Ride to Rippey, more commonly known as the BRR Ride, will be here before you know it, and cold weather bicycle enthusiasts are encouraged to sign up now.
The event is organized by the Perry Chamber of Commerce, and it serves as one of their biggest fundraisers every year. Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says this has been a big year for early registrations for the ride, which she feels is a positive sign. “It’s really exciting to have so many people signed up so soon. Normally, I’m told it’s really based on the weather and people are waiting until the last minute. So it’s been really positive to have 300 people more than a month in advance sign up and say, ‘We’re coming to this regardless, you know? And (we’re) going to have fun with it!’ So we’re really excited to kick off the year with that fundraiser and see how that will continue to grow and be fun for the community, but really give a chance for people to come in and visit as well.”
Cost to participate in BRR is $30 now through January 26th. The week of the event the price will be $35, and it will be $40 to register the day of. Pasutti reminds people there are no refunds on registration, and the ride will go on regardless of the weather on February 2nd. To register online, go to RVR.com and click on this story.
