Recent losses to Bondurant-Farrar and Pella has showcased an area of improvement for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls basketball team. Those two setbacks saw the Tigers defense allow an average of 67.5 points, allowing at least 12 points each quarter against the Bluejays and the Little Dutch. ADM head girls basketball coach Jacob Cleveland is aware of the Tigers defensive struggles. “Even though I thought we could’ve played a lot better offensively when you score 54 points, you should be able to get a W or be closer than we are,” Cleveland said, “We can’t give up 60 or 70 points if we’re going to beat the good teams. ”

A bulk of the recent points ADM is allowing is coming inside the lane. The Pella Little Dutch scored 40 points in the paint against the Tigers Tuesday night. Bondurant-Farrar picked up 20 points in the key against ADM last Friday to notch the Tigers first conference loss. ADM has their second straight day of practice tonight before hosting the Boone Toreadors tomorrow in a Raccoon River Conference doubleheader that you can hear on Raccoon Valley Radio’s True Country K 107.9.
