Winter weather forced high school sports teams all across Iowa to cancel their regular season events Tuesday evening. The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity basketball teams were among those affect by the winter storm, postponing yesterday’s home Raccoon River Conference doubleheader against the Winterset Huskies. ADM Activities Director Reece Satre shared with the Raccoon Valley Radio Network Tuesday morning that the districts agreed to make up the league twin bill tomorrow, Thursday, January 24, at ADM’s North Gym in Adel.

Weather permitting, ADM basketball will host Perry for their second conference meeting Friday evening. ADM swept both varsity doubleheaders against Winterset and Perry on the road in December. The ADM girls basketball team starts the homestand with a 10-6 overall, losing four of their six games played in 2019. The Tigers boys basketball squad posts a 7-6 overall record, dropping their previous four regular-season contests. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will bring you live play by play coverage of both ADM league doubleheaders on True Country K 107.9. Pregame coverage starts at 5:30 p.m. both nights with the varsity girls game tipping off at 6 p.m. and the boys contest to follow.
