A lopsided first-quarter run set the tempo Tuesday night for the Panorama Panthers boys basketball team against West Central Activites Conference rival West Central Valley. The Panthers outscored the Wildcats by 17 in the first quarter, eventually running away with a 70-31 victory. Panorama led 21-4 after eight minutes and held a 43-15 advantage at halftime. Senior Gracen Welburg led Panorama with 16 points scored. West Central Valley senior Cole Arnburg led all scorers with 19 points in the setback. Panorama improves their record to 10-9. Weather permitting, Panorama will travel to Martensdale St Marys High School Thursday for a nonconference tilt. The Panthers close their West Central Activites Conference season Saturday afternoon in a makeup league contest versus the Ogden Bulldogs.
