Marium Amber Katzman

A Des Moines woman was arrested earlier this week on warrants for theft and forgery related to incidents in Perry.

The Perry Police Department reports, on Tuesday afternoon they made an inquiry of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office regarding 37-year-old Marium Amber Katzman, who was in their custody at the time, about outstanding Dallas County arrest warrants. Officers then executed the warrants on charges including: forgery, a class D felony; 3rd degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor; and 4th degree theft, a serious misdemeanor. Katzman was transported to the Dallas County Jail, where she is currently being held on $100,000 cash-only bond.

Katzman had an initial appearance Tuesday, and will have a preliminary hearing on February 15th at 11 a.m. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
