The dream of qualifying for the 2019 Iowa High School Athletic Association State Wrestling tournament is alive for five members of the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity squad. The quartet has the benefit of grappling in front of the home fans as ADM Community Schools is the host of today’s Class 2A District 1 tournament. The state qualifying event featuring wrestlers from Ballard, Gilbert, Nevada, North Polk, Perry, Roland-Story, Saydel, Van Meter, Webster City, West Marshall, and Woodward-Granger. Representing the Tigers at today’s district tournament includes senior Andrew Flora (126), junior Broderick Schmidt (152), senior Nolan Harsh (182), sophomore Justice Paulsen (195), and junior Kaden Sutton (220). Flora, Harsh, and Sutton qualified for the 2018 Iowa High School Athletic Association State Wrestling tournament, while Schmidt and Paulsen are making their district wrestling debuts today. First grapples of the Class 2A District 1 tournament starts at noon from ADM Community Schools.
