A Casey man violated his probation after he was found allegedly possessing drugs.

According to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, while executing a search warrant for 58-year-old Andrew Dean Nelson on February 15th, a canister containing a white substance believed to be methamphetamine was found in his pocket. Nelson was then arrested and charged with a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for possession of a controlled substance. Nelson was also serving probation for fourth degree theft charges for an incident that occurred on August 14, 2018. Nelson is being held at no bond at the Adair County Jail.
