Earlier this month, six ACGC senior girls played their final basketball game for the Chargers. One of those seniors will exit the program as the leading scorer in the program’s early history. Jadeyn Carrick concluded her final season for the gold and black with the single-game, single-season, and career scoring records.

Carrick finished her career with 361 total points. She capped off the 2018-2019 season by scoring the most points in a single season with 174. The mark was five more than what she produced last season, which was the previous record. Her 26 point performance against the Earlham Cardinals on December 11th bested her previous record 22 against the Ogden Bulldogs on January 12, 2018.

Carrick, who scored the majority of her 174 points this year off the bench, shared her surprise at seeing her name listed next to the three records. “I never did. I never saw that my name would be anywhere for leading anything.”

In addition to her scoring records, Carrick concludes her ACGC career second among all rebounders (190) and tied for second in assists (57). She also recorded top-ten career marks in both steals (40) and converted three-pointers (17). Tomorrow we’ll continue our look at senior record holders for the ACGC girls basketball team.
