Don’t forget: anyone interested in becoming a homeowner in Perry through Habitat for Humanity is invited to one of three upcoming meetings, the first of which is tonight.

Dallas County Habitat Coordinator Omar Padilla says their hope is to build at least one new house in 2020, and the meetings are the first step towards doing so. “We are opening up the application information window, so there are three informational meetings where we explain to interested individuals how the program works. And if a potential homeowner would be interested, then they can fill out an application at that meeting, they can ask questions, and those are coming up.”

Each meeting will be held at the Perry Public Library between 6-8 p.m. The other meetings will be held on Saturday, March 9th, and Thursday, April 4th. Padilla also reminds people that Habitat owns several open lots in Perry, so if more than one family would like to go through the process they would be more than welcome.
