The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will meet twice Tuesday for a regular session and the fiscal year 2020 budget presentation.
During the morning session, the Board will hear an update on the new law enforcement center. They will also consider approval of the 13th pay application, which includes payments to six different contractors. The Supervisors will then consider the second pay application from Trinity Construction for the courthouse renovation project. Next, the Sheriff’s Office will present requests for vehicle purchases, followed by discussion and possible action regarding the Treasurer’s Motor Vehicle Department’s “Q-Matic” system.
Other items on the agenda include: an update to the pay plan; wetland credit allocations for the City of West Des Moines; and the appointment of the Weed Commissioner. The Board will then recess until 7 p.m., when they will hold the public hearing on the proposed budget. The presentation will include the Compensation Board’s recommendation for elected officials salaries. Following the hearing, the Board will consider approval of the fiscal year 2020 budget.
Both sessions will be held in the Board of Supervisors meeting room, located at 902 Court Street in Adel, with the morning session beginning at 9 a.m.
