Greene County senior Trey Hinote was one of eight players named to the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association Class 2A Substate 6 team. Hinote averaged 21.7 points per game for the 7-16 Rams and leaves the program with several individual records to his name. Among those is the most points in a single game at 44, which is a record not just for the seven seasons playing as Greene County, but for the history of boys’ basketball based in Jefferson.

Joining Hinote as Substate 6 selections in 2A are Ben Hereen of Ogden, Zach Neubaum of South Central Calhoun (Lake City), Braden Gibbons of Madrid, Bryce Phelps of Denver, Peyton Pope of West Marshall (State Center), and Colton Harberts and Cade Fuller, both of Dike-New Hartford.
