The Greene County girls’ track & field squad held Media Day on Tuesday. The team is a bit thin when it comes to the senior class, but Melanie Doran is one senior that’s qualified on relays for State Meets all three previous seasons. One of her goals for 2019 is to medal (top eight finish) at the State Meet, something she’s not previously done. She talked about team goals. “One goal is to have a lot of events make it to State this year and have a lot more girls going. Also to improve our times and get PRs (personal records).

Doran was asked what she likes about track & field. “The atmosphere, and always thinking about State in your head is exciting because once you get there it’s unlike any other experience!”

The Rams will send their girls and boys to Storm Lake this Saturday for an indoor meet at Buena Vista University.
