The Dallas County Sheriff’s office landline emergency communication services are currently down.

According to the Sheriff’s office, due to flooding in the Adel area, their 911 emergency landline communication services are currently down. Anyone who calls 911 in Dallas County from a landline will be diverted to another 911 Center. That Center will then forward any information to the Dallas County Communications Center. However, this issue doesn’t impact wireless 911 services. Centurylink is working to resolve the landline issue.

The Sheriff’s office reminds everyone that their regular number of 515-993-4567 can be used to report non-emergency as well as emergency calls. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
