The Dallas County Sheriff’s office has updated road closures as flooding and water over the roadways continue.

According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, the bridge on Highway 169 north of Adel continues to be closed due to flooding. The Dallas County Sheriff’s office reports several roads remain closed due to flooding and water of the roads as well. The full list can be found below. National Weather Service officials reminds everyone if you encounter water over the roadways, don’t drive through it, but avoid the area and find an alternate route.

According to the National Weather Service, a Flood Warning remains in effect for Greene County until tonight, while a River Flood Warning will be in effect from 11am today until early Sunday morning for Greene County, while Dallas County will have a River Flood Warning from 11am today through next Wednesday for the Raccoon River and the creeks that flow into it. According to the US Army Corp of Engineers River Gages website as of 10am, the Middle Raccoon River near Bayard was the only area considered above flood stage, while all other areas were approaching their respective flood stages.
